Description

This fall, the full-day kindergarten program will be in over 1,700 schools across Ontario. This means even more students will benefit from both teachers and early childhood educators (ECEs) working together to help them learn, play and grow. By September 2014, full-day kindergarten will be available in all elementary schools with the support of about 3,800 more teaching positions and up to 20,000 ECE positions. The McGuinty government remains committed to working with its partners in education to eliminate the deficit while continuing to rollout full-day kindergarten, maintain small class sizes and preserve 20,000 teacher and support staff jobs.
