AAZK 22nd Annual Bowling for Rhinos June 23, 2012 6:30 p.m. - Midnight http://www.clemetzoo.com/events/event.asp?event_id=27 Spare an Evening to Save a Species 22nd Annual Bowling For Rhinos Support the animal keepers at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. "Spare" an evening and help save rhinos by participating in Bowling for Rhinos, an annual fundraiser sponsored by the Greater Cleveland Chapter of the American Association of Zoo Keepers (AAZK). Bowling for Rhinos takes place on Saturday, June 23, 2011 from 6:30 p.m. to midnight at Cloverleaf Lanes, 5619 Brecksville Road (Route 21) in Independence, Ohio. Advanced registration for Bowling for Rhinos is $15 ($35 at the door -- subject to availability). The price includes three or more games of bowling, shoe rental, pizza, pop and snacks. In addition to the fun on the alleys, Bowling for Rhinos features a silent auction, pick-your-prize raffle, prizes for the bowler with the most money in sponsors and other entertainment. The money raised through Bowling for Rhinos is pooled with funds raised by other AAZK chapters, then donated to rhino sanctuaries in Kenya, Java and Sumatra. To date, AAZK Cleveland has raised over $106,000 to help endangered Rhinos, but they still need more help!
