30 Straight Hours of Chalk

4y ago

A time-lapse video of the chalk drawing was also produced, which you can view here: Artist Clayton Tycksen set his sights on filling up 80 square feet (16'x5') of concrete with his piece for this year's Utah Foster Care chalk festival. With a theme of "Superheroes" set for the event, and the recent success of The Avengers motion picture, Clayton chose to chalk a mural of both Iron Man and Captain America (plus it's just cool!). Some interesting statistics about the drawing: 1 artist 16' x 5 ' = 80 sq. ft. Used over 6 boxes of chalk 29.5 hours of continuous drawing This is Clayton's 4th chalk drawing to-date M4 was proud to once again sponsor Clayton and produce this video for the chalk festival and fundraiser, hosted by and benefitting the Utah Foster Care Foundation. This annual event helps raise awareness and much needed funds for foster care. Congratulations to the UFCF for putting on yet another successful festival. M4 is a proud sponsor of the Utah Foster Care Foundation. M4 welcomes Jace LeRoy to our team of incredible creatives. Jace served as Director of Photography and Editor on this video, and was present for the entire 30 hours during the drawing to capture it for you. For his first project as part of the M4 team, his skills both behind the camera and in the editing bay have produced a video that equals or surpasses the very subject which it documents. We're both excited and proud to have Jace as a permanent part of our team! M4 is a full-service creative agency, specializing in video, design, web and interactive media.
