July 16, 1941. Deutsche Wochenschau No. 567. Warning: offensive translated text and images. On the Baltic front. Entry into Riga. Along these streets the Soviets fled the city. In the old German Hanseatic city the Soviet arsonists were busy. Hundreds of years of culture were put to flame. Such appears the war the Bolsheviks were to bring to Germany and all of Europe. The lazy Jews are immediately put to work. In the suburbs of Riga. In these coach-houses are found the cruelly tortured remains of Latvian nationalists. The were bestially slaughtered by agents of the GPU. With these cruel murders the world sees the truth of Bolshevism. The anger of the local population against the mostly Jewish cowardly assassins has no limits. Here the guilty against the countless powerless individuals receive their just punishment. The synagogue of Riga (the Chor Synagogue), which was spared by the Soviet GPU commissars in their arsonist activities, goes up in flames a few hours later.
