Hundreds of City of Hope's youngest cancer patients, survivors and their families blasted off at the 2011 "Sci-Fi Adventure" -- themed pediatric picnic that took place at the Live Steamers in Griffith Park. The 14th annual event was a delight for young senses with galactic-themed play zones and lunch areas. Festivities included a "City of Hope's Got Talent" variety show featuring pediatric cancer survivors, carnival-style games, a sci-fi character parade and rides on the Live Steamers' model trains.
