Twitter Is Making Big Changes To Timeline

Description

After Twitter experienced some unimpressive numbers in the stock market last week the company has plans to draw more users. Twitter plans to change up their timeline structure to hopefully look more organized and be more relevant to individual users. Unfortunately current avid users of Twitter claim that the proposed renovated timeline looks too much like Facebook and will ruin the charm of Twitter. Twitter supporter Lance Ulanoff says about the proposed change up, " I wonder what will happen to me if Twitter makes a drastic change that not only fails to grow the network, but begins a rapid deflation." Let's hope Twitter's fate continues on a happy note. The prospect of a Twitter timeline determined not by date but by some arbitrary algorithm has me questioning my devotion to the now decade-old platform. And I'm not the only one. In an exquisite piece of irony, the current top Twitter trend is #RIPTwitter, a hashtag devoted to decrying a new Twitter timeline algorithm that may arrive as early as next week. If it does, most people predict the end of Twitter. I don't entirely agree, though I know a timeline based on "the most interesting and most relevant, most important thing that's happening in your world," as Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey put it, will irrevocably alter the service. http://feeds.mashable.com/~r/Mashable/~3/a9rUSZyb4yE/ http://www.wochit.com This video was produced by YT Wochit Entertainment using http://wochit.com
