Description

Michael Gilligan discovered a lump in his throat while shaving and thought it was due to having a cold. But when his cold went away and the lump did not, he reached out to his physician, who took a biopsy and arranged an appointment with Dr. Brett Miles at The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. Dr. Miles removed his throat cancer using the minimally invasive Da Vinci Robot. Mr. Gilligan says Mount Sinai made him feel like there was a path forward and that “we would work through this together.” To learn more about oral and throat cancer, visit www.mountsinai.org/oralcancer.
