No shortage of that. But one thing that often seems in low supply are artists determined to come forward with their own unique sound. While many young producers are busy replicating the Beatport Top 100 in search of fame and fortune, our long time homie Northie has been busy developing his own signature sound. That's one thing we love about this talented little bastard, he got a 'thing' goin' on! Oh, so you want us to describe it? Let's just say it's melodic, it's cut up, it's super detailed, multilayered, has a tonne of musicality, and it makes you wanna dance and feel reeeal goood. His new EP '200%' is testament to this new Northie sound and we are super stoked to be bringing it to y'all right now. Kicking off the EP is 'The Weekend (feat. Justin Hunter & Young Chozen)', a bouncy cut up electro house jam with a super catchy vocal hook that seriously sticks to the inside of your brain like auditory Tarzan Grip. Next Northie teams up with Konvex & Overtime for the super euphoric, super cut up, super rocking tune 'Bright Lights' featuring the ethereal vocal talents of Bea. This is BIG! Third in line comes one of our personal EP faves '200% Incomplete' feat. Tru-Ace, this is like g-funk meets, melodic funk and house. What party won't this start? Last in line to the Northie throne comes 'Dream Again', a collaboration with Didrik Carlsson and featuring the vocal talents of Matt Purcell, with more dope melodies, more uplifting vibes, more detailed production, and a whole heap of super amazing musicality. Pretty sure you'll be feeling 200% better about the state of 'EDM' after this EP! Werd! KKidsx
