Today I would like to give you a short demonstration of integrating eXo Platform with SugarCRM. - Thanks to its compliance with OpenSocial, eXo Platform's gadget features can be added to a popular enterprise application like sugarCRM. This integration can be achieved through a plugin that you can download. - To find this plugin, just go to Google and search for "eXo Platform Plugin for SugarCRM" - I can download the plugin and install it on my sugarCRM server. - When the installation, I can go to the sugarCRM server and create a new case - For example, I can call it "demo sugarCRM on eXo platform" - Because eXo Platform and SugarCRM are both OpenSocial compliant, the REST API can invoke a request between both environments, eXo Platform and SugarCRM. - When I click on the yellow icon of eXo, I get a popup that says "This space has not been created yet", - All I have to do is click on this link, and SugarCRM will then push the request to eXo Platform and create a space. - Let's turn back to eXo Platform, a space called "Sugar Case" has been created. - I'll write new a comment and post it. - Turning back to the SugarCRM page, when I refresh the popup, I can now see exactly the same comment posted on eXo Platform. - Now on the "Sugar Case" space, I'm gonna go ahead and enable access and set visibility for all members. - If I log in as Mary, and I join this space, - I can see here that we have 2 members. That basically means that we have both root and Mary as members. - As Mary, let's try posting a comment on this space. - And once again, I get exactly the same comment on the SugarCRM side. - This should give you an idea on what a simple integration case between eXo Platform and SugarCRM would look like. For more information on how to invoke requests, REST API calls and so on, I invite you to visit our dedicated Resource Center. Thank you for watching.
