Description

Markus Low works for the Treatment Access Campaign in South Africa. He is also blind. In this interview, Marcus is attending a diplomatic conference for a UN treaty on copyright exceptions for persons with disabilities, in Marrakesh, Morrow. He discusses the challenges of reading when the formats are accessible, but hard to use. Markus and others are asking that the treaty require that any restrictions on exceptions that are tied to commercial availability take into the interoperability of "accessible" formats with different devices, and that provide better usability.
