Neighborhood Centers Inc. gathered over 275 guests for a listening session on My Brother's Keeper -- The initiative to enhance opportunities for boys and young men of color. Deputy Secretary of the U.S. Department of Education and Executive Director of the My Brother's Keeper Task Force, as well as William Jawando of The Raben Group joined us for this conversation. Two panels also convened for the listening session. A youth panel featuring: Loren Campos, Youth Empowerment Alliance Daniel Ortiz, National Hispanic Institute Dharmek Patel, YES Prep Public Schools- Gulfton Treavon Tryon, Pro-Vision Facilitated by: Jonathan Howard, Texas Children's Hospital And a foundation panel featuring: Terry Bell, President, Rockwell Foundation Lisa Hall, Vice President for Programs, Houston Endowment Inc.
