Spyshots: New Citroen C4 Grand Picasso Adds a Controversial Rear End. The first spy photos showing the Citroen C4 Grand Picasso undisguised surfaced today on the Spanish website Auto Facil. The images were taken by a reader who spotted the larger, seven-seat version of the new C4 Picasso on a parked trailer in Spain. Derived from the shorter-wheelbase model, the second generation of the C4 Grand Picasso shares the same front end, albeit with some subtle modifications such as the black line that unites the Citroen logo with the turn signals and the lower part of the bumper that gets a slightly different design. The rear end, however, is what will draw the most attention, as it features a pair of oversized C-shaped taillights, very different to those of the C4 Picasso. The rear end also appears to be plump than that of its smaller sibling. There are no surprises on the inside, though, with the dashboard looking virtually identical to the one from the C4 Picasso. The center console is dominated by the same dual screen and general layout. The C4 Grand Picasso is expected to be around 4.6-meters (181.1-inches) long, 170 mm (6.7 inches) longer than the five-seat C4 Picasso. As with the shorter model, the Grand Picasso will be offered with a diesel and gasoline lineup, including the 91hp (92PS) and 113hp (114PS) diesels and two gasoline units, the 118hp (120PS) VTi 120 and the 154hp (156PS) THP 155. The platform on which the C4 Picasso rides will be used by the next generation Opel and Vauxhall MPVs, as part of an agreement between GM and PSA Peugeot Citroen.
