Description

You can clearly see the impact of the increasing cap over the DFW area as severe storms approach and fall apart. Look at that one coming at us from Abilene! SPLAT. Headbanger right into the cap! Also note the HUGE ground clutter pattern around the Metroplex. This is often a sign of a strengthening cap! But remember, there is still a possibility of ELEVATED showers and storms during the predawn hours. These are storms that form ON TOP OF THE CAP. It is often MUCH easier to do that than to try to bust through the cap from below. Make sure you catch the Daybreak crew in the morning since ELEVATED storms can sometimes spit out some hail. But coverage will be limited so most of north Texas will sleep right through it. But if you are underneath one, it will probably wake you up ;-)
