Chris Jericho vs Triple H - Undisputed Championship Match - WrestleMania x8 : A Wrestlemania XVIII was consumed confrontation between Triple H and Chris Jericho, valid for the Undisputed Title. This title, in practice, unified the WCW World Heavyweight Title with the WWE Title, and was held by Chris Jericho, who won the December 9, 2001 at Vengeance against Stone Cold Steve Austin. Triple H, meanwhile, had recently returned from a bad injury, and managed to win the Royal Rumble in 2002, winning also the opportunity to play in the main event of Wrestlemania. Triple H, however, also risked losing his title shot on Raw, against Kurt Angle, but in the end he managed to hold on to what he had conquered. Usually, when the wrestlers return from injury after a long time or for other reasons, they do it to face, and this unwritten rule of wrestling (which also includes numerous exceptions, it must be said) she adapted even Triple H. The odd man out, or, better said, the third wheel of the match was Stephanie McMahon, who in storylines had been left by her husband, the same Triple H, sick of having to suffer the arrogant attitudes of his woman. In response, the beautiful Stephanie decided to put a spoke in the wheels and an alliance with Chris Jericho, to help him in his battle with Triple H. There followed a series of teasing by Jericho and Stephanie and Triple H, however, often intervened to gain respect. The stakes were high, and the atmosphere good: Triple H fought with a large bandage on his left leg, and Jericho did not fail to attack him at that point of the body to make "The Game" most vulnerable to its impact. In the first part of the match, substantially, the two fought in a very natural, with Triple H that was obviously bigger than their opponent and therefore benefitted from this point of view. Jericho, for its part, tried to use his technique and his own cunning to damage the enemy, and also out of the ring Stephanie tried to help his client. Slowly, say after the first 8-10 minutes, the match took off and saw some really interesting maneuvers. First, Stephanie attacked several times Triple H out of the ring and repeatedly distracted the referee Earl Hebner, allowing both at the same Hunter Jericho to exchange of blows prohibited (for example, a very nice Triple H DDT on Jericho, that he ended up with his head on a chair that he had brought the ring to hit the opponent). In addition, there were some really intense moments outside the ring: for example, Jericho went up on the announce table to apply the Walls of Jericho to Triple H, but was soon kicked by the latter. At that point, Hunter tried his Pedigree, but in turn suffered a back body drop by your opponent that brought him crashing to the Spanish announce table, destroying it. One of the strengths of the match lies in the fact that the two latter part of the match, adjusted themselves a series of blows very credible and that seemed to be all decisive, arriving to exchange sit and even to reverse their finisher, although the latter did not go to sign. Also of note is a Walls of Jericho which lasted several seconds, Triple H did not seem to be able to reach the ropes, and then be able to get there with a sudden flash. In the end, Triple H was able to score their Pedigree on the opponent and bring home the match and his fifth world title in his career, in a meeting certainly good from the point of view of the action in the ring and also quite cured under the point of view of the booking (the interference of Stephanie, combat phase out of the ring) from the point of view of psychology (with Jericho attacked Triple H at the injured leg and the latter in turn tried to injure his leg Jericho). The dispute was certainly exciting, fought by two worker overtime, which have also led to better evidence than this, but at the same time have left a bitter taste in the mouth. The most heard from the crowd, however, was certainly inflicted Pedigree from Triple H to Stephanie, who ...
