W/S Imran Khan, Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf [MUTE ON SOURCE] SCRIPT Pakistan: Imran Khan injured, falling off stage at his own rally The 61-year old cricket-star-turned-politician fell from the lifter along with his security guards from a 14 to 15ft height apparently after they lost balance as the lifter soared to the top of the stage. In the absence of an ambulance and a stretcher at the site of the incident, Imran Khan's associates lifted him with their hands and shifted him to a vehicle which took him to Fazal Hospital for medical aid. He was later transferred to Shaukat Khanum Hospital for a CT Scan and further treatment. Imran Khan has been energetically carrying out his election campaign in the run-up to the upcoming general election scheduled for May 11, holding several rallies every single day across Pakistan's major cities and towns. Hours after falling from the 15ft height and suffering injuries to his head and back, Khan's condition is said to be stable and not dangerous. Dr Faisal of Shouket Khanum said that Khan received injuries to his head and back but they were only skin deep and that he had recieved pain killers. Khan's doctor said that he suffered a 6-inch long wound and received stitches. According to hospital administration, Khan received 11 stitches, 5 to the front and 6 to the back of his head.
