Ashkan Behzadi (b. 1983)'s "Plasticamente Colorato" for piano, violin, cello and percussion Piano: Chris Goddard Violin: Joshua Modney Violoncello: Mariel Roberts Percussion: Russell Greenberg Ashkan Behzadi was born in 1983, in Tehran. He grew up in a city called Kerman, where he started his first piano lessons at the age of 7 and composed his first pieces around 14. He studied Architecture at Tehran University; meanwhile, he continued his private music lessons with Farman Behboud and Tamara Dolidze (in Piano), and Alireza Mashayekhi (in composition and theory). After finishing bachelor of Architecture, he moved to Montreal, where he studied bachelor of music in composition and theory at McGill University, with Chris Harman and Brian Cherney (composition), Philippe Leroux and Sean Ferguson (electornic-music) and piano with Kyoko Hashimoto. Currently, he resides in New York, pursuing his D.M.A in composition at Columbia University with Fred Lerdahl. https://soundcloud.com/ashkan-behzadi
