Description

The African National Congress' Secretary General Gwede Mantashe does not want President Jacob Zuma and his deputy Cyril Ramaphosa to answer questions in Parliament. The ruling party says it does not want their top leaders to be publicly humiliated. Instead Mantashe wants the President to use public gatherings such as Imbizos to answer directly to South Africans. The Council for the Advancement of the South African Constitution (Casac) however has slammed Mantashe's statements. The parliament is robust, filled with heckling and is often insult laden. ,World News,World News ,2014 World News,Worldnews
