5 Minute Urology Procedure Destroy's Man's Life http://www.Oginski-Law.com/ NY Medical Malpractice & Personal Injury Trial Lawyer 516-487-8207 Email: Gerry@Oginski-Law.com He had trouble urinating. He was only 37 years old. The doctor did an in-office procedure to cut out the scar tissue in his urethra. Said that would do it. It did. For 3 weeks. Then the scar tissue came back. Doctor wisely said, can't do it again. Let's get you to the hospital and I'll do a little urology procedure...should take no more than five minutes. I'll put in a metal wire-mesh stent to keep the urethra open. The urethra is the tube that leads urine out from the bladder down through the penis. The patient said "Ok." Problem is that urologist didn't tell patient this device is NOT supposed to be used in young men. Only in elderly men who no longer have erectile function. Patient had stent put into urethra and it cleared up his urinary difficulties. In fact, it held open the urethra so well the patient couldn't stop urinating and had little control now. To make matters thousands of times worse, every time he had an erection, he developed excruciating and debilitating pain. Pain so bad that the patient wanted to take his own life. Doctor said, let me get you back into the hospital and manipulate that stent so it gets moved a bit...that's probably what needs to be done. Problem is that doctor didn't tell patient that once a stent is put into urethra, it is not to be moved. Reason? There is skin that overgrows the stent and makes it immovable. That's known as epithelialization. Find out what happened when the doctor tried to maneuver the stent and how that destroyed this man's urethra needing massive urological reconstructive surgery.
