San Bernardino County sheriff's deputies seized more than $50,000 worth of bath salts and synthetic drugs Thursday, May 23, from several High Desert smoke shops. Sheriff's officials targeted the recently popular drug, which have been known to cause hallucinations, rage and deaths among underage teens. In the Twentynine Palms area, authorities said U.S. Marines and teenagers were buying the synthetic drugs known as "Bath Salts" and "Spice," according to a sheriff's statement.
