Description

This trading week is about to wrap up so let’s find out what’s moving and shaking on the FX Markets at 3 PM GMT. I'm Sinead MacLaughlin. Canada/Yen is the mover of the day with a decline of point 75%. The pair started moving lower after 8 o'clock in the morning. The Bank of Japan Governor Kuroda said he doesn't think Yen's depreciation is causing severe damage to Japan's economy and reverse psychology appears to be working as Yen tops the advancers and decliners table. UK Sterling trades in a close range with the US Dollar and both of the majors are up against most of the rivals. They are followed by the Swiss Franc. Euro Zone current account surplus expanded faster than expected, but Single currency is near the bottom of the list and almost level with the Kiwi Dollar. Australian Dollar trades in a close range with the Loonie Dollar, which wraps up the advancers and decliners table as Canadian retail sales report was a let down. Moving on to longer terms, Sterling/New Zealand shows the biggest rise over a week and it's up by more than 3%. New Zealand/Yen is the most bearish pair and it's down by 1.62%. Euro/New Zealand has gained more than 8% over a month and Sterling/New Zealand shows a similar rise. New Zealand/Swissie has declined by 7.12% in the same term. These were the Movers and Shakers for Friday. Have a nice weekend and join us again on Monday for more on financial markets. Goodbye.
