Troy of Sparta's life was anything but easy starting out. Being the only child often alone, he was left with nothing but his thoughts and imagination. At an early age he showed an innate ability for writing and storytelling. In junior high, his English teacher was so amazed by his ability to capture the attention of his classmates with his stories that she entered him into a statewide youth speech competition. He performed the well-known bible story of Adam & Eve but instead reinventing it to a story of a scientist who went back in time to stop the snake from deceiving Eve into eating the apple. Amazed and impressed, the panel of judges awarded him with first place. THE JOURNEY He also crafted his video editing skills at a young age by creating homemade videos that his classmates enjoyed. Back then, this was a hobby that was unheard of. As he got older his love for sketch comedy was influenced by shows like The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Seinfeld, In Living Color and The Chapelle Show. PRESENT DAY Once relocating to the Hampton Roads area of Virginia, Troy began to perform stand-up comedy at local places such as Cozy's, The Palace on Plume and the Virginia Beach The Funny Bone. He has also performed at comedy shows headlined by acts such as Felonious Munk and Anguz Black who are local well-known radio personalities and comedians. Focusing on the big picture he has also traveled and performed at comedy clubs in DC and The Hard Rock Cafe in New York. A fan of social media, Troy started his own Youtube Channel on which he would post weekly videos about different topics. His videos began to gain much local attention influencing him to begin creating sketch comedy videos that in a few months gained national acclaim. One of his videos "What Guys Do Right Before Girls Come Over" went viral and received over one million views. It was featured on various websites and eventually was featured on the urban blog website World Star Hip Hop. Over the course of one year his channel has received three million views with close to 16,000 subscribers to date, making it one of the fastest growing comedy channels on Youtube. He also has worked with the Kings of Comedy producer, Walter Latham. He started to receive offers from Youtube partnered channels to join their networks. He is currently working under Forefront management where he is joined by other popular content creators such as Destorm Power, Kain Carter, Deshawnraw. EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED Troy continues to build and mature his brand by staying relevant, funny and spontaneous or unconstrained while always remembering to appeal to his fans. More recently he has begun a new channel where he interacts with his supporters through his new Ask I_HATE_VA forum. Fans can send him questions about anything and he answers them, of course adding his own spin. He lives by the belief that with hard work & dedication anything is possible and this is what keeps him motivated.
