All movie-goer's, get ready for the latest mash-up movie! In a big screen adaptation of Seth Grahame Smith's mash-up novel, Burr Steers brings you 'Pride and Prejudice and Zombies'. The tale itself centers on the tangled relationships between lovers, from different social classes in 19th century England, who are faced with a new challenge, an army of undead zombies!!!! Following the departure of several directors and the lead actress, Steers has agreed to serve behind the lens for this film. Young Hollywood Award-winning actress, Lily Collins is tapped to play Elizabeth Benner, a role to initially have been played by Natalie Portman in 2009. David O. Russell was set to direct the film, but quit due to budgetary issues with Lionsgate, the studio with the book's rights. Since then, several names of directors were mentioned in the mix until Steers finally took over the gig. Portman continues to stay involved in the project as the produer, alongside Annette Savitch, Richard Kelly and Sean McKittrick. Panorama will produce and finance the project, which will be sold at Cannes.
