Description

Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos says more than 3,100 pregnant women there have been diagnosed with the Zika virus. South and Central American countries are on high alert as the Zika virus spreads. El Salvador is urging women not to get pregnant, while Peru has fumigation teams on the streets, and the US territory of Puerto Rico has declared a health emergency. But in Guatemala the response appears to be relatively subdued. Al Jazeera's David Mercer reports.
