In 2015 HPA is again supporting and enhancing the influenza campaign, led by the National Influenza Specialist Group. With the key messages 'Flu can be anywhere' and 'Influenza. Don't get it. Don't give it.' the campaign encourages people to get immunised against the flu. Getting the flu vaccine from a doctor or nurse is free for many New Zealanders including: people aged 65 and over anyone under 65 years of age (including children) with long-term health conditions such as heart disease, stroke, diabetes, respiratory disease (including asthma), kidney disease and most cancers pregnant women children aged four years and under who have been hospitalised for a respiratory illness, or have a history of significant respiratory illness. http://www.hpa.org.nz/what-we-do/immunisation
