Edd "Kookie" Byrnes and Connie Stevens scored the first Top 10 Hit the Warner Brothers label had ever had! With the novlety record "Kookie, Kookie, Lend Me Your Comb", Warner Brothers Records realized the sales potential of popular music aimed at teenagers, steering away from their adults contemporary, Instrumental and lounge type music. Here is the "story" acted out by "Murray Sussman and Friend" on Variety Show Night at Camp Shippshewana in Shippshewana, Indiana, July 1992.
