Description

Yemen’s Ansarullah movement says it has attended peace talks in Kuwait to engage in a political dialog, NOT to give in to bullying. Ansarullah says it is open to discussing all the issues, and ready to show flexibility for a comprehensive solution. The group stressed that it will go back to the negotiating table if only the other side is committed to a serious dialog. The delegation of the former Yemeni regime withdrew from UN-sponsored peace negotiations on Tuesday pending the pull-out of Ansarullah fighters from their strongholds. It also demanded Ansarullah hand over their weapons. Now, the Saudi-backed mission says it will give the talks a last chance, but still insists on the implementation of its previous demands. The two sides have been negotiating for almost a month to try to end the year-long war. The Saudi led invasion of Yemen has killed more than 9400 people and plunged the nation into a humanitarian crisis.
