DJ Spooky, AKA author,composer, and multimedia artist Paul D. Miller has composed a “Forest Symphony” based on his four seasonal residencies at the H.J. Andrews Experimental Forest. Miller is known for his genre-bending art, vast catalogue of music and work in social justice. He is the author of Book of Ice, a multimedia, multidisciplinary study of Antarctica that contemplates climate change and humanity’s relationship with the natural world, as well as Rebirth of a Nation, performed by the Kronos Quartet. Join DJ Spooky and the OSU Wind Ensemble for a special performance of a composition inspired by the HJ Andrews Experimental Forest on May 18th, 7:30PM at the LaSells Stewart Center.
