Description

Video by http://www.milehighrunning.com for our series "Coolest Places Ever" Video series HD. Filmed in Copper Mountain, Colorado during their wonderful, peaceful off-season. Copper Mountain is one of my favorite places in Colorado - not for the skiing or outdoor activities, although I do spend time here during the year for those reasons. I also enjoy running up Vail Pass, from the Village of Copper - one of my favorite runs ever. My favorite thing to do in Copper is to visit in May, during it's off-season. You'll be hard pressed to see 10 other people the whole time you are here, and the silence, and peace you'll experience is priceless. It's really the "Billion Dollar Ghost Town." A few places are open for business, but for the most part, everyone's gone. The grass starts turning green, and the weather alternates from sunny to snow in a heartbeat. The lifts are quiet, and there is the constant sound of dripping water, and gurgling streams throughout Copper. I used a Canon T2i, Konova Slider, and a 28-135mm lens Video taken in mid-May, Copper Mountain. The creek flowing through the village is West Tenmile Creek.
