He opened up his questioning during the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, which was the first of what will surely be many congressional investigations into the events that transpired on September 11, 2012, the causes for this "security breakdown", and which governmental agents were responsible for essentially murdering a U.S. diplomat, and then covering it up in a scandal that has been dubbed Benghazi-gate, but which should really be called treason-gate, pointing to the root cause of the problem. Kucinich suggests, and I would agree, that it is the failed foreign policy of Obama, who has helped al-Qaeda strengthen its position in Libya to a level far greater than that of the United States, by toppling a stable regime and introducing instability to that nation and the Middle East, while heralding the operation as a unprecedented success.  He also touches upon one of the reasons that they are covering it up. There are now thousands of shoulder-fired surface-to-air missiles on the loose and in the hands of al-Qaeda as a result of our involvement in Libya, which might have something to do with Ambassador Stevens' mission in Benghazi and why he was hung out to dry as well. Does TWA Flight 800 ring a bell? Imagine that on a grander scale. Imagine what the U.S. government response would be if enough of these made it into the United States within the hands of sleeper cells operating inside U.S. borders and they were used to disrupt air traffic. Basically, put that into context with the National Defense Authorization Act and Eric Holder's speech at Northwestern University School of Law where he argued for the death of the U.S. Constitution.  If you want to look for a nexus, it should be the nexus between the treason being committed abroad and the treason that is being committed domestically.
