Russia: Putin lands in Vladivostok for first ever Eastern Economic Forum

Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in Vladivostok, Friday, to participate the first ever Eastern Economic Forum. Putin is set to take part in the economic conference, meeting with workers from oil and gas industries, as well as talking with Chinese Vice-Premier Wang Yang. The Eastern Economic Forum opened its doors on Thursday with a view to boosting the development of fully-fledged economic cooperation between Eurasian states. A total of 32 contracts were signed, following dozens roundtable sessions, with an expected 72 agreements to be signed by the end of the event. Russian Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Trutnev and Minister for the Development of the Russian Far East Alexander Galushka gave speeches during the event.
