15 people were left homeless after flames tore through 2 houses in the early afternoon of Saturday May 4, 2013. 2 buildings were involved when firefighters arrived. All the tenants safely evacuated both houses. A 2nd and 3rd alarms were quickly transmitted, bringing in extensive mutual aid. Due to the magnitude of the fire, a district 7 structural task force was requested, bringing in more manpower.
