Newt Gingrich opens day two of CPAC 2015 | FULL Speech | February 27 Gingrich kicks off CPAC's second day Newt Gingrich speaks at the Conservative Political Action Conference on Feb. 27, 2015. (H. Darr Beiser, USA TODAY) NATIONAL HARBOR, Md. — Former House speaker Newt Gingrich opened the second day of the Conservative Political Action Conference on Friday by focusing on the threat of “radical Islamism.” “This is a real war,” Gingrich told CPAC delegates, yet President Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry don’t know how to fight the danger, he said. Citing the threats of groups like the Islamic State and Boko Haram, Gingrich said that “America should win and they should lose.” Gingrich also criticized prospective 2016 Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton — and her husband, former president Bill Clinton — over foundation contributions from foreign sources. “All of it ought to be public,” he said. “We ought to know about it.” As usual, CPAC features speeches from most of the potential 2016 Republican presidential candidates. Friday’s scheduled speakers include Jeb Bush, Rand Paul, Marco Rubio, and Rick Perry. On Thursday, conservative delegates heard from Scott Walker, Ted Cruz, Chris Christie, Ben Carson, Bobby Jindal and Carly Fiorina. Newton Leroy "Newt" Gingrich was the first speaker of day two of the 2015 Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) . Video
