OID&LD - Applying New Science to the Development of New Medicines Chronic diseases are reaching epidemic proportions and account for 63% of deaths worldwide. The Oxford Institute for Digestive and Liver Diseases will respond to the growing worldwide incidence of gastrointestinal and liver diseases and provide a new home for co-located research and outstanding patient care under world – leading clinicians. In cooperation with the NHS Trust and Oxford University, the Institute will be built at the Churchill site in Oxford in the next few years.
