Rajinikanth aka Shivaji Rao Gaekwad, is an Indian film actor, media personality and cultural icon. He began acting while working in the Bangalore Transport Service as a bus conductor. In 1973, he joined the Madras Film Institute to pursue a diploma in acting. His film career started in 1974 with K. Balachander's National Film Award-winning movie Apoorva Raagangal. Later, he got his career's 1st prominent role with Anthuleni Katha(1976), his Debut movie in Telugu. Later in 1977, he got chance of doing the lead with Chilakamma Cheppindhi, a telugu movie. From then, he never looked back & completing 40 years in cinema field. On the eve of Rajinikanth completing 40 Years in Cinema field, Telugu Filmnagar wishes him All The Very Best for his upcoming film Lingaa. Special Credits to Nandu for rendering his voice.
