On December 1,1968, Engelbert appears for the first time on " The Ed Sullivan Show" performing the songs ' Les Bicyclettes de Belsize' and 'Marry Me'. " I owe people like Ed Sullivan, Mike Douglas and Merv Griffin" Engelbert said in an interview. "I did all three shows in the early years to establish my name in the US". PS .
