1980: First Reports of Violence in Miami Thirty-five years ago a jury in Tampa acquitted four former City of Miami police officers of all charges in the death of Arthur McDuffie, an African American Miamian. The violent response to this event would scar Miami for years. In this clip, WTVJ weekend anchor Bob Mayer presents the station's first coverage of the disturbance that has since become known as the McDuffie Riots.
