Starting in Napoli on May 4th and finishing 3,405 kilometres and 21 stages later in Brescia, the Giro d'Italia is the first Grand Tour of the season and three week test for Cannondale Pro Cycling. After a late withdrawal due to injury just days before the start Damiano Caruso takes the place of Ivan Basso joining Elia Viviani, Tiziano Dall'Antonia, Paolo Longo Borghini, Alan Marangoni, Fabio Sabatini, Cristiano Salerno, Josè Sarmient and Cameron Wurf to make up the nine man team.
