Description
In conjunction with our 13th Annual Conference, we hosted our 3rd Annual "Big Fighters, Big Cause" Charity Fight Night at the Santa Monica Pier on Tuesday, May 22, to benefit the Sugar Ray Leonard Foundation in its support of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), as well as the Wounded Warrior Project. The event featured Chris Spencer as the MC and Toni Braxton singing the National Anthem. The evening's entertainment featured a PROAM fight card commission by the California State Athletic Commission & USA Boxing, a world-class live auction and silent auction display featuring iconic memorabilia and other one-of-a-kind items and experiences. Joining us for the evening was former world champion Shane Mosley, former super welterweight champion Sergio Mora, welterweight Steve Forbes, former heavyweight world champion Leon Spinks, former world champion Terry Norris, and former featherweight world champion Henry Mancini. Actor/ comedian George Lopez, actor/ host Mario Lopez, former NFL quarterback Rodney Peete, actress Holly Robinson-Peete, executive producer of "The Contender" Jeff Wald, and middleweight-turned promoter Joel Mills also joined us for the night.
