According Charlie Holmes and the Columbia liner notes its Red Allen soloing the on non vocal St.Louis blues after Higgy - both instead of Armstrong´s vocal part. I am pride to be involved together with the late Peter Carr, who had researched about the Luis Russell men, with the search for these non vocal sides unissued on 78" & Lp. This after our contact with Charlie Holmes who had suggested to look for such hidden wherever. Thanks to the late Frank Driggs with his close contact to Pearlie Mae Allen and to Michael Brooks who had found and released them on a CD-MUST. I hope the SONY / SME & etc. copyright holders will tolerate this docu. with PR to their CD. I hope they will tolerate also a complete upload of the 2000 BBC bc 6 parts from John Chilton & Mike Pointon. The vocal part of I Ain´t Got Nobody is part of this (already compiled). There the story of the splitting choruses will be better to be followed. more details in Red Allen Bio Disco http://www.rainerjazz.de/AllenRed.html
