DEDICATED TO MY DAD - THE LATE, GREAT HAROLD RAMIS - HAPPY FATHER'S DAY! Inspired by the Loretta Lynn classic "Coal Miner's Daughter" - - - - GHOSTBUSTER'S DAUGHTER Well I was born a Ghostbuster’s daughter On a cold and snowy morning in Toronter We weren’t poor but we were broke Like a whacked-out family in a Lampoon joke That’s what ya get with Egon as yer father My daddy worked all night at the kitchen table Writin’ long hand scripts on a yellow legal pad Mama was an artist too And she didn’t play by anyone’s rules So she did her thing I stuck with my Dad Daddy had four kids by three different women For a nice Jewish boy he sure did love his sinnin’ Mama shunned the Hollywood life So he went out and got him a brand new wife And that mid-life crisis was his new beginnin’ For a while Daddy gave up his wild ways Lived a cleaner life than he had in his bad-boy days Gave his sons a different story Than the one he’d written for me Now they wish they’d known him in that smoky haze Yeah I’m proud to be a Ghostbuster’s daughter I’ve been blessed in life but not with holy water He ain’t God but he was close And he loved me “the most on toast” That’s what I got from Egon as my father But now he’s gone and left us on our own And his spirit’s found another realm to roam Well I got no regrets Just a wish that this coulda been a duet And the mem’ries of a Ghostbuster’s daughter - - - - Lyrics & Vocals - Violet Ramis Stiel Guitar - Julian Ramis Special Thanks - Mollie Israel, Nick Kohn, Julian Ware, Marc Liepis, Leon Stiel, Ali Jaffe and Marlene Adelstein - - - - LIKE WHAT YOU HEARD?
