PML-N and some other political parties jointly protested against the sit-ins of Pakistan Awami Tehreek and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf in Leeds. A meeting titled 'Solidarity with Govt of Pakistan' was held at Leeds City Council Hall where a large number of workers from PML-N and other parties gathered and chanted slogans in favour of the prime minister and Parliament. Member of Punjab Provincial Assembly Mr Tariq Yaqoob and President of PML-N UK were among the key speakers.speakers. Cllr Javaid Akhtar, Cllr Asghar Khan, Cllr Ghulam Hussain and Cllr Muhammad Iqbal were also present on the occasion. Gohar Almas Khan and Assad Butt who organised this meeting said the protests of PTI and PAT could set a dangerous trend and every party could gather five or six thousand people to press the prime minister to resign in the future. “Imran Khan should move a vote of no-confidence against Nawaz Sharif in Parliament rather than demanding his resignation.
