MY CONVERSATION WITH THE DAUGHTER OF ROS FICHMAN (THE "GERMAN CHOCOLATE CAKE RECIPE" LADY): http://jfk-assassination-as-it-happened.blogspot.com/2013/11/wtic-radio.html --------------- This is a fascinating piece of audio, as it demonstrates just how ordinary and unremarkable the day was on November 22, 1963, prior to all hell breaking loose with the terrible news from Dallas, Texas, about President Kennedy being cut down by an assassin. Prior to the first bulletin being read on WTIC-Radio in Hartford, Connecticut, at 1:55 PM EST, the radio call-in show that was being aired on WTIC was filled with average, humdrum topics such as cake recipes, dog clipping, and a woman giving advice to another radio listener about how to keep her garbage cans clean. (I hadn't realized that the idea of plastic trash can liners was a new and novel idea back in 1963. Interesting.) Then, at 1:55 PM, the first bulletin from Dallas. And the world changed forever -- in Hartford and everywhere else in America. SOURCE: Doug Bertel http://YouTube.com/watch?v=S1K5KqRW9qw
