Description

This is the performance for which Teri Garr received a bad review and told Johnny Carson she was "shaken up" (see Part 2 -UPDATE-Unfortunately I cannot post part 2 because I got a strike for it when I previously posted it, from the Johnny Carson copyright bunch). The interview (Part 2) was in 1986 and luckily, I started taping Academy Awards shows in 1986, so I had the show with her opening. NOTE: See Jon Voight (best actor nominee) arriving at 1:03 with his daughter, Angelina Jolie (& I think, his son and mother). I thought it would be interesting to show the performance (Part 1) for which she got a bad review, and then her interview talking about it (Part 2). (Johnny sympathized with her and told her about his experience with something like that, and Ed McMahon also talked about his own experience with the same thing.) I think everyone will agree that she gave a fantastic performance and the critic was just trying to boost his own career (or whatever it was that ailed him). Unfortunately, THE TAPE RAN OUT BEFORE END OF INTERVIEW (Part 2), SO IT'S NOT COMPLETE, although I think most of it is probably here. AGAIN, I can't post video #2 because of a previous strike against it from the Johnny Carson bunch (3 strikes and your whole account is deleted)! Teri has had an illustrious career, starting with a movie debut in 1963 as an extra in "A Swingin' Affair (thanks Wikipedia). For years Teri was America's sweetheart and girl-next-door, and exactly the type of person anyone would like to know. I know everyone remembers her in "Young Frankenstein", where she plays Inga to perfection, and she also did so much more. I remember her on many talk shows, where she was always the quintessential delight for every talk show host and audiences everywhere. In 2002 she confirmed that she was battling multiple sclerosis, which must have had a terrible impact on any aspirations she might have had to continue her career in the manner that she would have liked. Teri, a multitude of people love you and think you are the best. We all send our best wishes for good luck in your struggle with MS. The following comments from my previous posting of this video: MADWORLD1427 3 months ago this is great, thanks for the upload, would you happen to have any footage from the year Goldie Hawn & Chevy Chase hosted (I loved them together) I believe it is from 1987. (UPDATE: i did post a video from the Academy Awards in 1987 of Goldie & Chevy after MadWorld's request. It was deleted along with the rest of my videos because of copyright strikes. I will post it again right now on April 10, 2014 - it's called "
