Bennifer forever! Ben Affleck and his famed former flame Jennifer Lopez had a low-key, under-the-radar reunion at the 87th Annual Academy Awards on Sunday, Feb. 22, according to the Associated Press. The outlet reports that Gone Girl star Affleck, 42, sought out "Booty" singer Lopez, 45, during one of the awards show's commercial breaks. According to the AP, Affleck "whispered something" in Lopez's ear. The Grammy winner then "playfully" swatted Affleck on the arm, staying friendly with her ex. Now married to Jennifer Garner, Affleck proposed to Lopez with a massive 6.1-carat pink diamond engagement ring in late 2002. "It was very, very beautiful," Lopez told Diane Sawyer at the time of the engagement, adding that Affleck's proposal was "traditional, but also in a very spectacular way, as of course Ben would do it." Though their relationship didn't work out and both moved on to marry and start families of their own (he with Garner, she with now-ex-husband Marc Anthony), Affleck and Lopez remained friends after their split. "I remember when she got American Idol. I said: 'This was really smart. Good luck.' I touch base. I respect her. I like her. She's put up with some stuff that was unfair in her life, and I'm really pleased to see her successful."
