IFR Refresher with CFII Matthew Stevenot - KSGJ to KCRG - ILS Runway 32
5 hours agoTags
Description
Having spent most of the past several months concentrating on the helicopter rating, it was time for some IFR refresher. I went up today with CFII Matthew Stevenot from Florida Flyers Flightschool in St. Augustine. We filed IFR from KSGJ to KCRG and flew the ILS 32 approach there. We flew the VOR 31 approach on the return to KSGJ, but some reason the recording stops and we did not get the VOR approach on film. After a nice lunch at the Floridan Cafe in the old town in St. Augustine we went back up for some more, flying KSGJ to Cecil Field, KVQQ, where we flew the GPS 36R approach to minimums (the weather was not minimums, I just flew the approach down as if it were), then flew to Jacksonville International, KJAX and flew the ILS Runway 8 to minimums, then back to St. Augustine for the ILS Runway 31 approach. We had a 14 knot direct cross wind on the return landing. Matthew was a good instructor and it was a pleasure to fly with him. The pilot was William Mallory Kent, the aircraft was a Cessna 182, N2494E
