Description

The 'Director's Cut' of my montage tells a story of Jack White, the White Stripes' song 'Seven Nation Army,' and the song's iconic riff. It begins with a scene of Jack White building a make-shift guitar with a sound and voice over of some music he finds influential. We then transition into a session where White is giving a tutorial on the song to Led Zepplin's Jimmy Page and U2's The Edge, before transitioning into the montage proper. These clips were borrowed from 'It Might Get Loud,' a documentary featuring the three musicians. The montage itself is a composition made up of professional and amateur covers, as well as a few tutorials for how to play the song itself. Very little production was done in regards to mixing the music to match tempos or keys in hopes of better representing how the song has been molded to fit the purpose of so many different uses across genres.
