On Wednesday, two steel workers were rushed to the hospital with severe injuries following protests outside the German embassy in Rome against the decision to fire over 500 workers after an Italian plant was purchased by the German steel giant ThyssenKrupp AG. Unions have already announced they will continue their action. A national strike across several Italian cities is scheduled on November 14th.
