Bodybuilding isn't about lifting point A to point B. If you want to do that powerlifting is more likely your sport. If you want to build the maximum amount of muscle your genetics can handle, one of the most important things when training is feeling the muscle. You have to be able to feel the muscle working through the range. I like to control my negatives and explode on the positive portion of the movement. Sometimes I also like to stick the squeeze for a good second or two. Always try and make your workouts harder, don't cut corners and don't half ass it. I'm sure there are lots of guys that can lift heavier than me but I can make two plates burn like a motherfucker!
