Description

Sarah Brightman's very first album, although she had been releasing singles for a decade before. From 1978's 'I Lost My Heart to a Starship Trooper' to 1983's Rhythm of the Rain, Sarah's music had been based in disco and pop. Starting in 1983, Sarah began to release showtunes and classical music such as Unexpected Song, Pie Jesu, and the Phantom of the Opera songs. While in the midst of these releases - right after 1987's 'Doretta's Dream' and before 1989's 'Anything but Lonely' - this album arrived. "The Trees they Grow So High" is the first full length Sarah Brightman LP released in 1988, and contains nothing but English, Irish, and Scottish melodies. I do not believe the album had ever charted, and no singles were released from it. Early One Morning Come You Not From Newcastle?
