Description

China's anti-corruption drive has put a dampener on the sales of luxury goods in Hong Kong, with delicacies at high-end Chinese restaurants taking a dip as well. According to the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) Hong Kong, the sale of shark fins from Hong Kong to China has plummeted by almost 90 per cent last year. The huge drop in demand may have to do with environmental concerns over the shark fin trade, but the mainland clampdown has also played a part.
