Description
Becky Cooper is a graduate of Harvard College and creator of Map Your Memories™, a collaborative art project that asks strangers to fill in the outlines of a place with whatever is meaningful to them. It is your chance to capture your city, your myth, your home on paper. Mapping Manhattan is a book based on the project launched this April. The ongoing project has been featured in the The New York Times Magazine, The New York Post, The Wall Street Journal, Time Out New York,The Harvard Crimson and The Harvard Advocate and has been exhibited in gallery spaces around New York and Cambridge. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
